Coordinating a major investor event

Mihir Shah, Investor Relations Manager at Haleon, needed to coordinate the review process across six departments for their upcoming Capital Markets Day, a major investor event where a company presents its strategic plans and financial outlook.

The project involved IR, Finance, Communications, Legal, Strategy, and Marketing teams working together to review nine presentations, scripts, and a press release.

The scale of the event required a more coordinated approach than their usual processes.

Enhancing their established review and verification process

Haleon had established review and verification procedures, but the Capital Markets Day project highlighted opportunities for improvement.

“We used to use Excel for review and to track verification, which was a manual process,” explains Shah.

This approach created challenges: it was difficult for different team members to work on reviews simultaneously, making the process take longer. Updating documents through multiple versions was particularly time-consuming.

“We knew our previous process would not be feasible for something at the scale of a Capital Markets Day,” notes Shah.

Streamlined collaboration across departments

Atticus provided the enhanced coordination the team needed.

“Getting set up in Atticus was stress free. I connected our internal IT team with the Atticus team and we were set up and ready to go quickly,” explains Shah.

The platform’s version control capabilities proved particularly valuable for their workflow.

Shah told us, “The best feature is definitely the new version feature. Our team goes through many versions of documents, so being able to easily upload and have the software check what the differences are was extremely valuable.”

Enhanced efficiency and expanded adoption

The streamlined approach delivered significant improvements across the organisation:

  • Six departments collaborating effectively on one platform
  • Nine presentations and scripts reviewed within a short period of time
  • Enhanced version control managing multiple document iterations
  • Improved team coordination with real-time collaboration capabilities
  • Reduced manual errors through streamlined review processes

“The ability to collaborate all together in one space was a very valuable and time saving change to the review process.”

Making Atticus the new standard at Haleon

The success of the Capital Markets Day project has led to broader adoption across Haleon.

“Atticus is now being used continually for all IR releases, most recently 2025 Half Year Results and will be used for the upcoming Annual Report.”

“We will continue to use Atticus for review and verification processes in the IR team. It makes life a lot easier,” explains Shah.

The team is now expanding the approach beyond IR: “We are now showcasing Atticus to other parts of the business and explaining opportunities for integration into other review processes.”

“Atticus helped make the task of review for such a large event such as the Capital Markets Day more manageable and accessible for teams around the company. It supported Haleon’s first successful Capital Markets Day as a standalone company.”

For Haleon’s IR team, what started as a solution for one major event has become their standard approach for all investor communications.
