Most recently, BCLP has been using Atticus to advise a major global fintech client on their successive annual reports.

The challenge

Before adopting Atticus, BCLP manually verified documents through spreadsheets and email threads, complicating the management of various document versions. Additionally, supporting evidence was stored in multiple locations, making the fact-checking process difficult to track and adding unnecessary administrative time to matters.

The solution

BCLP commended Atticus for transforming the verification process from end to end. The firm and their client could upload all supporting evidence, collaborate across teams in real time, and get an audit trail of changes made to the documents, all in one place.

Additionally, when it came to managing new versions of the reports, Atticus helped to automatically transfer all existing verification notes from version to version, regardless of any drafting or formatting changes. This meant BCLP could begin verification from the earliest unformatted draft, easing the pressure to verify a large amount of information in a limited timeframe.

The result

BCLP reported that Atticus was immediately well-received by all involved in the verification process. Lawyers at BCLP were able to get started on the platform in minutes. Trainees and associates doing the core verification shared their appreciation for Atticus because it made a notoriously laborious process much more enjoyable, and freed them up to support higher-value aspects of the matter.
