Document review and verification software company Atticus has strengthened its growing UK team with the introduction of two leading legal tech professionals–Sam Spivack and James Quaile.

These appointments support the growing demand for the Atticus software from corporate entities and law firms in the UK and Europe. Recent clients, such as Kingfisher, Rentokil, John Lewis, Clifford Chance, Bird & Bird, and Burges Salmon, now join long-standing users, including National Grid, Linklaters, Slaughter and May, and Pinsent Masons.

Sam Spivack joined the Atticus UK team on 16 October after a four-year stint as Managing Director at BRYTER. He played a pivotal role in establishing operations in the UK and leading the company’s law firm and legal partnerships division. Sam brings extensive experience in early-stage B2B automation and machine learning technology start-ups, with a strong focus on the legal, compliance, and regulatory sectors.

“We are delighted to have attracted Sam to the Atticus team where he will help continue our rapid growth in the UK corporate and legal markets,” said Atticus General Manager (UK and Europe), Patrick Skinner.

“Sam’s knowledge of the UK legal market, both from his time in practice and the legal tech space, will facilitate our expansion into both our core markets (corporate law, governance and dispute resolution) as well into new horizons such as ESG and sustainability.”

Sam takes on the role of Growth Consultant and will be based in Atticus’ London office.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the wonderful team at Atticus to help them on the next phase of their growth journey. The company is expanding sustainably at an impressive rate and I’m very much looking forward to being part of their next phase of growth after a fantastic experience at BRYTER helping build the business into a category leader,” Sam said.

James leads the Corporate Markets business for Atticus across the UK and Europe, with growing demand from listed entities looking for fact-checking and verification solutions for their critical documents.

“It’s an exciting time to join the business and I’m looking forward to strengthening our position in Corporate Markets and supporting the team with my experience from previous roles in law and technology,” James said.

Patrick added, “We’re delighted to have brought James onboard. His skill set perfectly aligns with our goals to facilitate Atticus’s continued growth in the corporate markets. We are confident that both James and Sam will enhance our industry-leading commercial team.”
